LUMINAIR is commited to applying environmentally friendly principles to every aspect of its business. Stationery and product brochures are printed on FSC accredited stock and printed using vegatable inks and no solvents. Our office utilises natural light and heat and what little electricity we use is supplied by a 100% renewable energy provider. Our suppliers and sub-contract manufacturers are chosen only if they also follow strong environmental policies and our products are designed to utilise and support emerging technologies and process that benefit the environment. For example, our lighting products feature the latest ultra bright LED technology which are the most efficient and long lasting solid state light sources available. Where possible the materials we use can be recycled, are recycled, or are sustainable.
Buying recycled products helps 'close the loop', creating a demand for the materials recovered by recycling collection schemes. For recycling to work, there needs to be markets for the products made with recycled materials. Buying recycled helps keep reusable material in the economy, reduces waste needing to be landfilled and conserves resources, particularly energy.
