DETAILS :

The SPECTRA LIGHTTUBE was designed to solve a problem... that being how to produce a colour changing LED lit tube that offered a unique, evenly diffused and clear light output not usually found when using long strips of LEDs. The LUMINAIR LIGHTTUBE achieves this perfectly by combining the excellent optical performance of the tecacryl extruded acrylic tube with an ingenious optical light film with a microscopic and very precise prismatic structure. The whole tube is then illuminated by our in-house designed SPECTRA colour changing and highly energy efficient LED light engine.

FIXINGS

The SPECTRA lighttube can be placed almost anywhere to create subtle ambient effects or striking displays. Luminair offer the following mounting options for easy & versatile positioning.

MOUNTING BRACKETS : Anodised aluminium brackets can be used as a horizontal stand or can be fixed to any surface such as walls and ceilings.
FLOOR STAND : Incorporated into the end-cap of the light tube is a mounting thread which mates with the vertical mounting floor stand. Constructed from anodised aluminium, when connected to the light tube the stand also connects to the power connector. The power lead can then be plugged into one of the stands feet and conveniently kept out of sight.
SUSPENSION ROSE : Mounting hardware for suspended installations.

CONTROL & CONNECTION

The SPECTRA LIGHTTUBE comes in two versions, SPECTRA LINK tubes can be connected together and colour modes controlled from the SPECTRA CONTROL unit or SPECTRA SA (stand-alone) units have onboard, individual touch switching control. The SPECTRA CONTROL unit incorporates a central touch sensitive switch with illuminated surround to indicate the global light output of the connected units and an optional IR remote control unit is also available for mode control, whereas SPECTRA SA units incorporate the touch switch on each individual unit.
Every touch of the switch will change between the four modes listed below. Touching and holding down the switch will enable control of each modes parameters :

Mode 1 : RGB spectrum colour change. The light will cycle at the selected speed through the RGB colour spectrum. Touching and holding the switch will change between 3 cycle speeds. A white flash will indicate when the speed is changed.
Mode 2: Static colour light output. When the switch is touched in mode 1, the light fitting will stop at the colour when pressed. Touching and holding the switch will enable the user to cycle through the colour spectrum until a desired colour is found and the switch released to hold at that colour.
Mode 3: White light output. In this mode all the fittings LEDs are illuminated and a white light output is achieved.
Mode 4: Standby. Touching the switch will return to mode 1.
